I’m a Muslim woman in the US; I converted 4 years ago and have not had a chance to travel in the Muslim world since, though I spent two years in Saudi with my family as a very young girl. I found your blog through Umm Yasmin’s blog http://www.maryams.net/dervish. I’ve been enjoying it! Hope you have a wonderfully enriching time in Yemen, which as you probably know has been viewed as a repository of Islamic faith (“iman”) since the time of the Prophet, peace be upon him. Hope you keep writing about it too, so your readers can join in. May God bless you and keep you safe in your travels, amin.
Oops, I didn’t mean the emoticon, just meant to close the parentheses.
